Morton Arboretum VIP Tour – Senior Illini

You are cordially invited to join fellow Illini and friends for a trip to the Morton Arboretum, an outdoor living museum of trees located 25 miles west of Chicago in Lisle, Illinois.

The Arboretum was established in 1922 by Mr. Joy Morton, founder of Morton Salt and son of the originator of Arbor Day. With its plant collections, education programs, and scientific research, the Arboretum has a mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world.

Champaign – Lisle

  • 7:30 a.m. – Bus departs from Schnucks on Mattis Avenue
  • 10:30 a.m. – Bus tour of Arboretum site
  • 12:00 p.m. – Private lunch and greetings President and CEO Dr. Gerry Donnelly and Immediate Past UIAA Board Chairman, Steve Van Arsdell (also a trustee of the Arboretum)
  • 1:45 p.m. – Free time for exploring
  • 3:15 p.m. – Meet at the bus
  • 3:30 p.m. – Bus departs for Champaign
