Jeff George last threw a pass for the Illini in the 1990 Florida Citrus Bowl, but his legacy in Orange and Blue remains in multiple ways. He still ranks as one of the top 10 passers in Illinois history, throwing for 5,189 yards and 31 touchdowns in just two seasons before he was selected as the number one overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1990 NFL Draft.
