Alumnus one of Crain Chicago Business’ 20 in Their 20s
Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, ’11 LAS, has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 20 in Their 20s list. The 35th Ward Chicago alderman, 27, is one of the youngest elected officials in the city’s history and the first openly gay Latino to hold the position. His ward covers the neighborhoods of Logan Square, Avondale, Hermosa, Albany Park and Irving Park. Ramirez-Rosa secured the vote in February 2015 against Rey Colon, who occupied the city council seat for 12 years.
